Southern Perkins County Farm Details

Irrigation equipment includes a GE 100 hp electric motor, Western Land Roller irrigation pump, 2013 8 tower Pierce pivot, underground water pipeline to a 2001, 7 tower Reinke satellite pivot.

Nebraska Registered irrigation well G-041623 that was drilled in 2018 to 405’ with static water at drilling at 156’. The pump is set at 220’ and rated at 925 gpm. This well has 159.80 Upper Republican NRD certified irrigated acres.

The farm is currently pooled with a neighbors well to provide irrigation water to the satellite pivot. This pooling agreement can be negotiated with a new Owner. Contact Broker for details of this arrangement.

Current Upper Republican NRD pooling report shows 116.32” carryforward for next 5 year allocation period of 2023-2027. For those unaware, URNRD has a 62.5” allocation for the 5 year period ‘23-’27, up to 7.5” can be used from the carryforward balance annually.

The productive soils under the south pivot are a mix of Class II & III Haxtun, Altvan, Woodly and Vetal fine loams, the soils under the north pivot are very production Class II Satanta and Haxtun loams. Both pivots lay nearly level.

The soils for the 114 acre non-irrigated field located in the northeast portion of the farm are mostly all Class II Satanta and Haxtun loams and the south 62 acre non-irrigated nearly all Woodly loamy fine sand. The balance of the non-irrigated cropland acres are located west of the pivots in smaller fields.

LOCATION: Farm is located in southern Perkins County with CR 335 along the eastern boundary. The farm is located 1/2 mile south of CR 755.
