Before obtaining his Salesman License, Duane had a successful cattle buying business with his Father for over 12 years. He has utilized his area knowledge and contacts to continue a successful real estate brokerage career. Licensed since 2004, Duane spent his first 7 years with a successful brokerage, learning and gaining experience in proper property investigation techniques and valuation process. From 2012 through 2023, Duane has sold or been actively involved with over 180 properties totaling over $150,000,000 in value. Many of those sales were at public auction. As an auctioneer, Duane has conducted more than 125 public auctions in the 20 years. 

In January 2016, Duane opened Nebraska Land Brokers, LLC. Since opening Nebraska Land Brokers, Duane has sold 125 properties totaling over 52,000 acres and $70,000,000 in value. In his career, Duane has sold properties in 29 different counties of Nebraska.

CAROL “BUTCH” BURGE, Associate BROKER

Butch along with his wife Donna, have been involved in the auction and real estate industry for many years. They owned Burge Auction & Realty, LLC and have sold an extensive amount of real estate in southwestern Nebraska at auction and private treaty. Butch and Donna closed Burge Auction & Realty and joined the Nebraska Land Brokers team in September 2022. This move allows them to focus more on the opportunity to continue in the farm and ranch real estate industry and leave the details to the management.

Butch and Donna, both, are known for their humorous nature but when it comes to care and honesty with their Clients, they have proven to be excellent professionals in the successful marketing of farm and ranch real estate.

At the end of 2023 Donna made the decision to not renew her Broker’s license to focus on her health and family. She “WON” her courageous battle with cancer March 2, 2024 and will be forever missed by the community.

GARY L. MC CORMICK, ASSOCIATE BROKER

Gary has worked as a Real Estate Professional for 25 years since his retirement from a 34 year U.S. Army career. Gary retired as ARNG/USAR Colonel during which he commanded combined arms task force and field artillery battalion. He is a 1971 graduate of Chadron State College with a bachelor of science in Biology. Gary is a current Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and since 1998 has been a fee appraiser of agricultural, residential and commercial real estate. Gary has completed many courses from the American Society of Farm Managers  & Rural  Appraisers. Gary completes his appraisals with McCormick Appraisals & Real Estate.

Growing up on and still owning a farm that has been in the family for over 100 years, Gary understands the commitment farmers and ranchers have to the land. Gary understands real estate professionals need to share the same commitment and be prepared to provide detailed analysis and a proven marketing plan to best serve the needs of their clients.

Gary joined the Nebraska Land Brokers team in early 2023. His integrity and honesty is a compliment to the Company’s goal of unrivaled farm and ranch real estate marketing services to our clients.

 Mark R. Christensen, SALESMAN

Mark Christensen grew up on a farm, near Edison Nebraska. Attending University of Nebraska-Lincoln after graduation. Mark farmed with family till 2001 where he started his own branch office for a commodity firm. In 2006 was elected to the State Senate where he served 2 terms and was term limited out in 2014. Mark earned his real estate license in 2011 where he has, managed farm ground and sold real estate since. Mark has always had a connection to the land and enjoys managing farm grounds and selling real estate.
